MXGP Finland 2025 Results

Round 13 of the FIM Motocross World Championship has concluded here at the all new KymiRing circuit. See below the results from both the MXGP and MX2 class!

MXGP:

In MXGP Race 1, Red Bull KTM Factory Racing’s Lucas Coenen put on a clinic, passing Glenn Coldenhoff for the lead on the opening lap and racing ahead to build a huge lead. The Fantic duo of Coldenhoff and Andrea Bonacorsi completed the podium, finishing ahead of Calvin Vlaanderen and Romain Febvre.

Coenen once again found himself in the lead on the opening lap and began stretching a gap between himself and the field. It wasn’t all plain sailing for the rookie, however — a small tip-over on lap six dropped him back one position, albeit only briefly. He quickly reclaimed the lead just one lap later and went on to win by a margin of eight seconds ahead of title rival Romain Febvre. Calvin Vlaanderen finished third, earning his first podium of the 2025 season.

MX2:

In MX2 Race 1, Nestaan Husqvarna’s Kay de Wolf took the lead by lap three and steadily held off the 2023 MX2 World Champion, Andrea Adamo, for the remainder of the race. Monster Energy Yamaha Factory rider Thibault Benistant mounted a late charge to catch Adamo, but it wasn’t enough to take second. Sacha Coenen finished fourth, ahead of Camden McLellan in fifth.

Sacha Coenen grabbed the holeshot in Race 2 and led for ten laps before being overtaken by the reigning champion, Kay de Wolf. Once de Wolf took the lead, he began to pull away from the field and eventually won the race, sweeping the weekend and securing a perfect 60 championship points. Coenen held on for second, with Andrea Adamo completing the podium in third.
