The SR Motoblouz Honda team has been dealt a huge blow this week, with both of their riders, Kevin Horgmo and Alberto Forato, ruled out for the remainder of the season due to injury. As a result, French MX2 rider Quentin Prugnieres will step in to fill the void for the final seven rounds, starting with this weekend’s MXGP of the Czech Republic.
With news breaking earlier this week that Prugnieres had parted ways with the WZ KTM team, many speculated about his next move. Now, with the opportunity to step in for the injured Horgmo and Forato, he also takes a step up in competition — moving into the MXGP class.
Quentin Prugnieres: “For sure, I am pretty excited for the weekend, I’m looking forward to it and to be honest I am just happy to be here. No expectations really, just coming here to get to known the bike, get to know the team, get to know the category and just try to ride smooth, good and be solid all weekend.
