The MXGP of Czech Republic qualifying results

Saturday is done and dusted here in Loket, with the MXGP and MX2 pilots securing their gate position for tomorrow’s racing with their qualifying results from this afternoon.

Romain Febvre secured his second qualifying race win of the season in the MXGP class. After initially pulling the holeshot, the Kawasaki Racing Team rider was passed by Glenn Coldenhoff in the second turn – but just one lap later, the Frenchman regained the lead and dominated the race from that point on, ahead of championship rival Lucas Coenen.

Mathis Valin’s maiden qualifying race victory in the MX2 class capped off a perfect day for the Kawasaki Racing Team. Valin pulled the holeshot and led every lap en route to an impressive win, finishing ahead of Honda HRC’s Valerio Lata and a hard-charging Kay de Wolf, who put on a strong performance to fight through the pack after a poor start.
