Dirt Store Triumph rider Tommy Searle looked to have thrown away his shot at the MX2 title after suffering broken vertebrae in a crash at the final round of the Arenacross World Tour in Abu Dhabi. Miraculously, the field failed to capitalise on the veteran’s absence, allowing the red plate to remain on his Triumph for another round. Now, just five weeks after the crash, Searle is set to gear up and attempt to race this weekend – pushing through the pain in a bid to keep his title hopes alive.
This has made the MX2 class even more exciting, and the door is well and truly open for someone to take control of the craziness! Who will be leaving Landrake with the red plate?
