22-year-old Italian rider Andrea Bonacorsi has enjoyed a stellar 2025 season in his first full MXGP campaign. A former champion in both the EMX125 and EMX250 classes, Bonacorsi only contested four MX2 Grands Prix in 2024 before making the move up to MXGP. The decision proved wise, as he quickly established himself as a consistent top-ten contender — finishing inside the top ten in ten of the sixteen rounds he raced.
Racing aboard a Fantic XXF450 this year, Bonacorsi has had a standout season, landing his maiden MXGP podium at the second round of the season, backing it up with six top-five finishes during the season as well. The strong form in 2025 has him 7th in the championship standings and in prime position to be selected for Team Italy at the MXoN. We caught up with Bonacorsi after the MXGP of The Netherlands to discuss his season, the Fantic machine, MXoN and more. Click the link below to listen to the interview.
