What a season it has been for VHR VRT Yamaha rider Janis Reisulis. The young Latvian rider entered the final EMX250 round in Turkey with a 38 point advantage over Noel Zanocz – and secured the title in the first race with his second place finish.

Reisulis has been the class of the field this season, amassing 4 overall victories, 8 overall podiums and 10 race wins. Two DNF’s in Trentino and Switzerland are the main reasons why the championship was even alive at the final round, with little doubt that anyone would be able to reel him in.

Now securing both EMX125 and 250 titles, look to see Reisulis competing full time MX2 next season, alongside his brother on the Monster Energy Yamaha Factory Racing team.
