Danish talent Mads Fredsoe recently secured the 2025 ADAC MX Youngster Cup championship and now looks to end his season on a strong note, as he heads Stateside to represent Denmark at the MXoN at Ironman Raceway next month. Riding for the Cat Moto Bauerschmidt Husqvarna team, Fredsoe has enjoyed a solid 2025 campaign, which included an overall podium in the EMX250 class alongside his national title. This success came despite battling a broken hand early in the year, a setback that undoubtedly limited his chances of adding more silverware on the EMX stage.

“Yeah my EMX season this year has been pretty decent when I haven’t been injured” he told Cult Moto. “I started the season off really well coming into the first round with a strong off season. Podium in Cozar and decent second round, so i came into Arco 4th in the championship, but unfortunately I was in a start crash and broke my hand. Took abit of time to come back but when i got back i had some really good ADAC races and several top 5 results in the emx but unfortunately not a podium here in the second half of the season. Finished 9th in the championship with 4 missed rounds. Of course I wanted and deserved to be higher but injuries are a part of the game.”

The hand injury forced Fredsoe to miss the opening ADAC round, making his title winning season even more impressive. Multiple overall wins and podiums on his return showcased his championship pedigree, allowing him to close the points gap and take over the red plate heading into the final stretch of the season. At the final round, he finished fifth overall, his only result off the podium – but it was a champion’s ride, doing exactly what was needed to secure the title

“Yes for sure. With my injury i also missed the first round of the ADAC championship so I was thinking maybe the title was not possible” he admitted. “But I came back really strong winning overalls and podiums in every single round except the last round in Holzgerlingen where I managed the championship a little bit with a 5th overall. Felt really good to win this championship, especially not making the first round. I think that just shows I was really strong and consistent.”

One thing that has flown under the radar this year is the incredible job the Cat Moto Bauerschmidt Husqvarna team has done with its riders. From sweeping podiums at ADAC rounds, to securing multiple EMX250 podiums, a national title, and showing continuous improvement throughout the season – they’ve gone head-to-head with heavily backed operations and come out on top!

“Yes I think this year has shown we are doing something right with 3 really strong riders. So a big thank you to Hans Rudi the team owner, Andre, the mechanics and all the partners of the team. Nothing is published yet, but all i can say is with what we’ve shown this year, that i want be a part of it again next year and have a really good EMX250 season.”

There is one more race remaining of Fredsoe’s schedule, the iconic MXoN next weekend at Ironman Raceway. A well earned and deserved spot for the Danish talent, who will be representing Denmark alongside Mikkel Haarup (MX2) and Magnus Smith (Open) which means Mads will fill the MX1 spot for his nation, meaning he will step up to ride a 450 for the event.

“Oh yes, I’m really excited for this race! It’s gonna be abit different because I’m gonna ride the 450 in the open category with Haarup taking the 250 spot. But i like the 450 and I’m ready to fight for Denmark and have some fun! Huge experience in America as well so I’m looking really forward.”

It has been an extremely impressive season for Fredsoe, and the young Danish team heading to Ironman could be a sneaky good pick to break into the top ten overall. It’s expected that he will return with the CAT Moto effort next season, where the team will look to further build on their already impressive resources.
