The Motocross of Nations provides a unique atmosphere like nothing else, as fans from across the globe gather to watch the sports best battle it out for their respective nations. Team’s expectations vary from country to country – for some, it is win or bust, nothing else is considered a strong result. Whilst others have more modest goals, whether that’s to finish inside the top five, top ten or even to qualify for the main races. All of this snowballs into endless storylines unfolding, meaning there is always something for the fans to keep a watchful eye on!
USA lead the way in MXoN victories with 23 wins, their last victory in fact coming on home soil back in 2022. In recent years, France have been the dominant nation at the event, securing six wins and a podium finish since 2014. Now, last year’s winners Australia head in as heavy favourites, with arguably the two fastest riders on the planet leading their charge – the Lawrence brothers. If things don’t go as expected, however, the door is wide open for USA, The Netherlands, and France. Belgium are the biggest anomaly. Across the three riders, they might actually have the strongest team on paper. Most nations tend to have a weak link, but Belgium bring the 18-year-old phenom Coenen twins alongside Liam Everts.
