Lucy Barker Set for 2025 Mini O's

Three time Women’s European Motocross Champion Lucy Barker is set to take on the prestigious Mini O’s Amateur National next week at Gatorback Cycle Park in Florida. Barker has shown genuine speed throughout this year’s WMX championship, with standout performances in Arnhem and Afyon confirming the level she’s been capable of all season. Now, she has the opportunity to test herself at one of the biggest amateur motocross events in the world.

Across the week long event, the young Brit will line up in three classes—Women 12+, 250C, and Schoolboy 2 – once again showcasing her ability not only in the women’s category but against the men as well. British motocross fans may also remember her impressive showing at the final ACU British Championship round at Lyng earlier this year, where she earned two championship points against the country’s fastest 250cc riders.

It’s great to see more British talent competing internationally, both in Europe and now in the United States. Events like the Mini O’s and the WMX championship play a huge role in elevating a rider’s career, even if the results don’t come immediately. Lucy is a perfect example of that – experience brings progression, and progression brings results. Be sure to keep an eye on her performances next week in Florida!
