Defending 450SX champion Cooper Webb has had a torrid opening two rounds to the 2026 AMA Supercross campaign. The three-time champion has posted 7–8 main event finishes, leaving him a staggering 21 points off series points leader Eli Tomac.
This past weekend, things got a little spicy. As Chase Sexton made a move around Cooper Webb in the 450SX main event at Snapdragon Stadium, there was some contact which, as a result, knocked the defending champion down and essentially left him with a mountain to climb for the remainder of the race. What seemingly looked like a racing incident, Webb has since commented on the pass in his recent vlog, making a dig at the Kawasaki not being able to turn and saying that he’s keeping receipts. “I guess the Kawi (Kawasaki) does not turn very well. We’ll get him back though, I’m sure of that.”
What do you think of the pass? Do you think Webb has reason to leave San Diego frustrated with Chase heading into A2?
