Chance Hymas has had a tough time with injuries throughout his professional career, and after a strong start to his 2026 250SX West campaign, the Honda HRC Progressive rider has sustained a shoulder injury during a start crash in the A2 main event. Hymas has provided an update, which unfortunately confirms he will undergo surgery on his labrum, resulting in his focus now shifting to outdoor preparation once healed from the injury. A tough blow for Hymas, who seems to always run into injury just as he begins to build momentum.
Chance Hymas via Instagram: “Hard to put into words how I’m feeling at the moment. Feel like I do everything possible to be the best version of myself and put myself in the best position I can. Unfortunately things happen outside your control and sometimes it’s just not meant to be. Proud of what myself and the team accomplished these first few rounds, and really appreciate the people that continue to back me through all the highs and lows. Surgery Friday to repair my labrum then it’s back to work for this summer.”
