: Ferruccio Zanchi

Ducati’s long-awaited MX2 World Championship debut has taken an unexpected turn ahead of the season opener. Ferruccio Zanchi, who had been preparing to lead the team’s first full-time MX2 effort, has been sidelined through injury during pre-season preparations. Despite the setback, Ducati will still line up in Argentina, with EMX250 rider Simone Mancini stepping up to represent the squad on the MX2 stage.

“This is not the news we were hoping to share just a few days before the opening round. Following an incident during training, Ferruccio Zanchi will unfortunately not be able to line up in Argentina. The whole team is fully supporting him through his recovery. We will keep you updated on his condition. Thank you for your support.

RIDER CHANGE. The decision regarding the Factory rider spot for Argentina was very easy. We know Simone Mancini talent, his commitment, and his ability to perform at the highest level. The choice was clear. Simone will defend our colors this weekend in Argentina. Ferruccio Zanchi will be back soon, and Simone Mancini.97 will line up in Spain in EMX250.”
