MXGP of Andalucia | Qualifying Results

It was a Coenen domination in today’s qualifying races, as both Lucas Coenen and Sacha Coenen claimed the chequered flag in Spain.

Lucas put on a clinic in the MXGP class, making quick work of Tom Vialle to move into the lead on the opening straight and never looking back to secure his first qualifying win of the season. Vialle finished in a solid second, with fellow Frenchmen Maxime Renaux and Romain Febvre in third and fourth, while Calvin Vlaanderen rounded out the top five with a strong ride. Jeffrey Herlings crashed at the start, collecting fellow Dutchman Kay de Wolf, with the pair eventually finishing in 11th and 12th.

Janis Reisulis continues to show his pedigree, as the young Latvian led the majority of the MX2 qualifying race before a calm and calculated Sacha Coenen made his way into the lead late on to make it back-to-back qualifying wins for the Belgian in 2026. Camden McLellan fought well from a poor start to finish second, ahead of his teammate Guillem Farres in third, with Simon Längenfelder fourth and Reisulis rounding out the top five.
