RESULTS: 2023 AMA Supercross RD3 San Diego – Full Results

That’s a wrap on Round 3 of the 2023 AMA Supercross Championship after a great night of racing at Snapdragon Stadium in San Diego, CA. Back to racing after the previous weekend off, after Round 2 was rained off. Round 2 in Oakland, CA is still go racing on 18th February.

250SX Main Event
In the 250SX class, it was none other than Jett Lawrence calling the shots, after getting out front from the offset. He rode a calm race to the checkers, despite some fast laps at the midpoint of the race from the #48 machine of Cameron McAdoo. McAdoo, who was on par with Jett’s lap times for the majority of the race, came under fire from RJ Hampshire when the front-runners caught lapped traffic with less than 8 minutes to go. Hampshire would eventually get around McAdoo with a couple laps to go, to steal 2nd place, and even set the fastest lap of the race. McAdoo would head over the line in 3rd.

450SX Main Event
The 450SX Main Event saw a heated battle at the front of the pack all race, with multiple riders crashing once again, including Malcolm Stewart, Chase Sexton, Jason Anderson.. and probably more. Cool and collected Eli Tomac took the race win, with a certain Cooper Webb hot on his heels all the way to the line. A heated battle between Justin Barcia and Ken Roczen saw Barcia victorious, after holding off the attempts of Roczen all the way to the flag.
