Honda’s Lawrence and Sexton Sweep Detroit Supercross!

HRC Honda’s Chase Sexton victorious in Detroit. Aaron Plessinger lead most of the race and with two laps left crashed himself out. Chase Sexton worked from a mediocre start up to 2nd place and inherited the lead with 1 and a half laps left. Cooper Webb came away with 2nd place and added another 2 points to his championship lead. Eli Tomac finished out the podium in 3rd with Justin Barcia and Ken Roczen in 5th.

HRC Honda’s Hunter Lawrence jumped out to the early lead and never looked back. Nate Thrasher worked his way up to 2nd place early in the main and stayed there the rest of the way. Young Haiden Deegan and veteran Jeremy Martin battled for much of the race with Monster Energy Star Racing Yamaha’s Deegan edging Martin out for the final podium spot. Chris Blose and Tom Vialle rounded out the top 5.
