RESULTS: MXGP of Trentino Qualifying

Round 4 of the MXGP World Championship kicked off at the MXGP of Trentino. Although it is one of the most beautiful tracks in the world, it always proves to be a tough challenge for the racers. Timed qualifying kicked off with Monster Energy Yamaha’s Maxime Renaux and Jeremy Seewer going to the gate 1st and 2nd. Followed by Romain Febvre, Jorge Prado and Italy’s Alberto Forato.
In the RAM Qualifying race, Kawasaki Race Team’s Romain Febvre struck first, getting his first qualifying race on the season and heads to Sundays races in pole position, also earning 10 points towards his championship season. Fellow countryman, Maxime Renaux came away in the 2nd position. The fight for 3rd was on with Ruben Fernandez coming out on top ahead of the two Swissmen, Jeremy Seewer and Valentin Guillod.

MX2 saw Red Bull Gasgas’ Simon Laengenfelder come out with the holeshot and took off for the win. With a late race mistake by Jago Geerts, Monster Energy Yamaha’s Thibault Benistant found himself in the 2nd place at the end of the race. Red Bull KTM, and hometown hero, Andrea Adamo came away in 3rd, with Jago Geerts and Liam Everts rounding out the top 5.
