What is SuperMotocross? $10,000,000 split between 3 Championships

For the first time, FELD Motorsports and MX Sports are working together to promote the sport of dirt bike racing. Together they’re introducing a brand new series that will kick off in 2023, the SuperMotocross World Championship. The series will take the top 22 riders in combined points from the Supercross and Pro Motocross Championships into a three race post season with two playoff style races and a Super Bowl style finale at the LA Coliseum in Los Angeles, California.

Plus, with the three series’ combined, there will be a total of $10 Million dollars in purse money up for grabs. Many of the details are still being ironed out, but in Episode 84 of our This Week in MXA video series, presented by O’Neal, Josh Mosiman interviews FELD’s Dave Prater and MX Sport’s Carrie Coombs-Russell just a few hours after the press release came out to clear the air on what this new series is all about.
