The penultimate round of the 2026 FIM Motocross World Championship landed in Shanghai for the MXGP of China, with the heat and humidity once again adding another challenge to an already demanding circuit.

With the MXGP title already wrapped up, Jeffrey Herlings showed no signs of slowing down, while in MX2 the championship fight was very much alive. Camden McLellan arrived in China needing a big weekend to keep his title hopes alive – and that’s exactly what he delivered.

Camden McLellan did exactly what he needed to do in China, taking the opening moto victory before backing it up with second in race two to secure his fourth Grand Prix victory of the season.

Championship leader Guillem Farres recovered from fourth in the opening race to take the race two victory, giving Triumph another 1-2 overall. Liam Everts was impressively consistent with a pair of third-place finishes to complete the podium.
