Gyan Doensen | Searching for a 2027 Ride

Young Dutch talent Gyan Doensen is facing a stressful off-season, as his initial plans for 2027 have fallen through. This leaves Doensen in a difficult position, with no firm options currently on the table for next season.

After claiming the 85cc World Championship in 2022, Doensen continued to impress as he moved up through the EMX ranks, narrowly missing out on the EMX125 title in 2024 to finish as runner-up. Since stepping up to the 250cc class, he has continued to showcase his potential, securing four podiums in the EMX250 Championship alongside multiple wins and podium finishes in the British MX2 Championship.

Doensen has spent the past two seasons with Gabriel SS24 KTM, where he has continued to develop and establish himself as a front running talent in the EMX250 class. Despite battling an ankle injury throughout the 2026 campaign, the Dutchman still managed to finish fourth in the championship.

Now, heading into 2027, Doensen’s future is uncertain after his plans to make the step up have fallen through. With no signed deal currently in place, the Dutchman is actively looking for a new opportunity to continue his career. His ambitions remain firmly set on competing at the highest level, and he is determined to race at the highest level next season.

Doensen has provided Cult Moto with the following update:

“Unfortunately, my original plans for the 2027 season will no longer move forward. While this is an unexpected setback, my ambition and determination to pursue my dream remain stronger than ever. I remain fully committed to continuing my journey and exploring new opportunities to compete at the highest level. I am therefore open to discussions with teams that may still have an available position for the 2027 season. Interested parties are welcome to contact me at info@gyandoensen.com”
