Van Venrooy Racing have confirmed their rider line-up for the 2027 MX2 World Championship, with Karlis Reisulis and Australian talent Byron Dennis set to represent the Dutch outfit next season. The announcement also marks a significant step forward for the team, which will receive increased support from KTM and take on official team status.
For Karlis Reisulis, the move represents a new chapter after spending recent seasons within the Yamaha programme. The Latvian enjoyed a strong 2026 campaign, finishing seventh in the MX2 World Championship while also securing the first Grand Prix podium of his career. Reisulis will now make the switch to KTM machinery as he looks to build on his progress and establish himself as a regular front-runner in the category.
Joining him will be Australian talent Byron Dennis, who made a strong impression during his European appearances towards the end of the 2026 season. After travelling from Australia to compete in the EMX250 Championship and selected Grand Prix rounds, Dennis showcased his potential with an EMX250 podium and several top-ten finishes in MX2. The move to Van Venrooy KTM will provide the youngster with his first full-time opportunity in the MX2 World Championship.
With two promising talents under its awning, Van Venrooy Racing will look to build on its Grand Prix presence in 2027. The increased backing from KTM and official team status also signal an important step for the Dutch outfit as it prepares to take on the new season.
Both Reisulis and Dennis will now have the opportunity to further develop their careers with factory-supported KTM machinery as they look to make their mark in the highly competitive MX2 World Championship.
